About the Author STEM education authority Leon Roomberg channels his idols as he combines the frustration of Lewis Black with the helpfulness of Mr. Rogers to help STEM students succeed despite the unfairness built into our STEM education system. With four decades of technical and managerial experience, Leon hired more than a hundred people, mentored many, founded several small businesses and maintained a non-profit counseling practice. It was during more than two dozen father-son college tours that the ideas for his book, “The STEM Student Survival Guide,” took form. He now tours the country providing not just evidence and witty anecdotes, but down-to-earth solutions to help the more than fifty percent of STEM students who fail out of their majors, are screwed out of their scholarships, and then have to fight damaged credit ratings, escalating student debt, and an uphill challenge to earn a bachelor's degree worth having. Contact Leon to arrange a speaking engagement for your organization.
